Veggie Omlette(without eggs)
Ingredients
- All purpose flour
- Sooji/Rava
- capsicum/green pepper
- Carrot shredded
- Potato boiled and cut into thin slices
- onion finely chopped and fried in oil(golden brown)
- green chillies
- tomato chopped
- garam masala
- red chilli powder
- oregano powder(optional)/pepper powder
- turmeric powder
- oil/butter
- salt
- asafoetida(optional)
- Coriander
Mix rava/sooji, all purpose flour in equal ratios.Add salt to taste & a pinch of asafoetida.Add garam masala,turmeric powder & red chilli powder. Mix well. add water and miz into a batter with thin conistency.Add the fried onion,capsicum,shredded carrot,chopped tomato, pieces of boiled potato & green chillies.(choice of vegetables)Mix the batter.The vegetables make the batter thicker.So a little water can be added to make it into a thin consistence.heat the pan and use oil/butter in the pan.The batter is poured just like an omlettee.After few minutes it is flipped and served.Can be garnished with coriander.Oregano is sprinkled on the top to taste.Pepper powder can be used instead.
